Tips for download:

  • VIVA is film/video restoration and enhancement tool intended for digitally scanned films and born digital video. It consists of two main executable modules VivaAuto.exe and VivaLite.exe free for download and usage (see details in Terms and Conditions and Pricing).
  • To run VIVA software you need a PC computer (desktop /laptop) with installed Windows XP or Windows 7 (recommended) with RAM 2GB (4GB is recommended). Your computer has to be equipped with an NVIDIA GPU with CUDA Compute Capability 1.1 or higher (check here) and with minimum 0.5GB memory for SD (standard definition video, 720 X 576) and HD (high definition, 1920 X 1080). For 2K video,  1GB of GPU memory is required.
  • VIVA input formats are *.DPX, *.BMP, *.TIFF images. For decomposing your video files into a sequence of frames and compiling your video back into a video file you may need to apply either commercial software like QuickTime Pro or Adobe Premier. You also can do this job with free software like Virtual Dub with appropriate plugins installed.
  • VivaLite  is provided with the converter of MPEG-2 and H.264 videos into BMP sequences.
  • Interlaced video (see here) (especially obtained with changed frame rate from a scanned celluloid film) is undesirable. While for some of processing modes (DeFlicker/DeGrain) may work well if the video frames are appropriately split into separate fields.
  • Read Manual in directory Doc of the installation packet for details.
